However, these are not the same HEPA filters used in other applications, as the risks are high and specialized filters are needed. Camfil's Absolute HEPA filters are qualified under ASME and meet AG1 section FC of the code, which defines the qualification requirements of the filters.

When asked how one can know or show that a HEPA filter is fully qualified, Moore stated that the filters are qualified by the U.S Army at Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland, and once qualified, a letter for each type of filter is issued and put on the QPL (Qualified Products List). Customers should request a copy of this document with their quotation.
