SHANGHAI, Nov. 3 (Xinhua) -- The eighth China International Import Expo (CIIE) will be held in Shanghai from Nov. 5 to 10. The event this year will feature 4,108 overseas exhibitors from 155 countries, regions and international organizations, with the total exhibition area exceeding 430,000 square meters, setting a new record in scale.
As the host city, Shanghai extends a hearty welcome.
From the first edition to the upcoming one, the CIIE strives to foster win-win cooperation and provide international public goods amid shifting global political and economic tides.
Openness, innovation and inclusiveness have become the hallmark of Shanghai. They are also a vivid reflection of China in the new era and its commitment to development and progress.
Once again, Shanghai will take the global stage as the CIIE returns, reaffirming China's pledge to further opening up and to sharing its development opportunities with the world.
