MELBOURNE, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- "CIIE (the China International Import Expo) is the best platform for small and medium-sized enterprises like us to enter the huge Chinese market, as well as to connect with people from other parts of the world who visit this important event in huge numbers," said Scott Franklyn, co-founder of Talentail Australia, during a recent interview with Xinhua.
This year marks the third consecutive participation by Talentail in the CIIE and "each experience is unforgettable," he said.
Talentail Australia was originally a local niche pet food brand established out of the Franklyn family's love of animals. However, after deepening exchanges with Asia, especially China, Scott Franklyn, the sixth-generation of the family in Australia, developed the idea of venturing into the Chinese market.
Franklyn is fully confident in the quality of Talentail's products. "The ingredients for our products are sourced from Australia and New Zealand, famous for our clean, green environment. This guarantees the safety and superior quality of our products."
Franklyn said that the company has also collaborated with researchers from the University of Melbourne to incorporate the Kakadu Plum, a native plant from northern Australia, into the product. This fruit, known as a "superfood," has a high level of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory function.
Recognized by the state of Victoria, Talentail Australia has been invited to participate in CIIE for three consecutive years as the representative enterprise of the state.
The experience of participating in CIIE impressed Franklyn, as the scale of the event, the number of participating economies and enterprises, the flow of visitors, the brand level and the degree of government attention are all world-class.
At this globally watched trade show, Franklyn not only witnessed the huge potential of the Chinese market, but also gained a deeper understanding of Chinese consumers' trust and expectations for high-quality imported products.
"We believe that participating in CIIE is the highest-level endorsement for international brands to enter the Chinese market," he said. "CIIE helps us build trust, expand channels and accumulate industry resources in the Chinese market, playing a crucial role in promoting our continuous business expansion in China."
Thanks to CIIE, Franklyn got to meet potential partners, including distributors, cross-border e-commerce platform practitioners, pet industry associations, and supply chain enterprises. Many cooperative relationships have continued to advance after the event, and some have been officially implemented.
"We regard CIIE as an important annual communication platform. It is not only a key time to showcase our products, but also an excellent opportunity to have face-to-face discussions with partners about market trends and long-term strategic cooperation."
Franklyn expressed full confidence in the Chinese market. "We hope to take advantage of the CIIE platform to join hands with more Chinese enterprises and jointly promote the high-quality development of the pet food industry."
